We use the information we collect to:

• Process and fulfil your orders, including coordinating between you, the relevant Vendor, and our delivery partners.
• Verify Vendor identity and manage Vendor payouts.
• Communicate with you about orders, delivery updates, account activity, and customer support requests.
• Send promotional communications, offers, and updates (you may opt out at any time, see Section 6).
• Investigate and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms and Conditions.
• Improve and maintain the Platform, including analytics on usage and performance.
• Comply with legal obligations under Bangladeshi law.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as necessary to operate the Platform:

• With Vendors: when you place an order, we share the necessary details (name, delivery address, phone number, order contents) with the Vendor fulfilling that order, so they can prepare and ship your item.
• With delivery/courier partners: to enable delivery of your order.
• With payment processors and mobile financial service providers: to process payments and Vendor payouts.
• With service providers: hosting, analytics, and customer support tools that help us operate the Platform, under confidentiality obligations.
• For legal reasons: if required by law, court order, or a valid request from a Bangladeshi government or regulatory authority, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Omega Mart, our users, or the public.
• In a business transfer: if Omega Mart's business is restructured, sold, or transferred, customer information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy (or a policy offering equivalent protection).

4. Vendor Access to Buyer Information

Vendors only receive the information necessary to fulfil an order placed with them (buyer name, delivery address, contact number, order details). Vendors are contractually prohibited, under our Vendor Terms and Conditions, from using Buyer information for any purpose other than fulfilling that specific order, and from retaining or misusing it for independent marketing.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to:

• Maintain your account and order history,
• Comply with our legal, accounting, and tax obligations under Bangladeshi law,
• Resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.

If you request account deletion, we will remove or anonymize your personal data except where we are required to retain it for legal or legitimate business record-keeping purposes (e.g., transaction records).

6. Your Choices and Rights

• Marketing communications: You can opt out of promotional emails/SMS at any time via the unsubscribe link or by contacting support@omegamartbd.com. You will still receive essential transactional messages (e.g., order confirmations).
• Access and correction: You may review and update your account information at any time by logging into your account, or by contacting us.
• Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by emailing support@omegamartbd.com, subject to Section 5 above.
• Cookies: Most browsers let you control or disable cookies through their settings. Disabling cookies may affect some Platform functionality.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction, including secure hosting and restricted access to sensitive data (such as Vendor payout details). However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

The Platform does not currently impose a minimum age restriction for browsing. However, we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children for the purpose of creating independent accounts or making purchases without the involvement of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without appropriate consent, please contact us at support@omegamartbd.com so we can address it.

9. Third-Party Links

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites (e.g., social media, payment provider pages). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The updated version will be posted here with a revised "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
